One 6th of the earth's population goes hungry each day.

Time for Prayer and Rest

SUMMER-time for recreation and being re-created.
"He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while."

A Christain cannot live his or her life without time with the Lord in prayer.

I know it is not the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, but doe he not give good example of not carrying around excess baggage? Too much "stuff" gets in the way of our call to discipleship.

Year of the Priest

Personnaly I hope to spend more time in prayer, visitiing the sick, and celebrating the sacraments; less in parish administration.

If we could really believe this and apply it today...
